Where are you based?

Gwalior

How would you describe the local cycling scene?

The scene is mostly a bit dull right now. It picked up a lot around Covid, and as an organiser I was able to set up quite a few brevets which were well attended. But then gradually people stopped getting into it for some reason. There are of course still a few people casually riding in the morning, but nothing notable.

Are there active clubs or groups?

Yes, there is currently Probikers, which is active. Gwalior Cycling Rangers, another major group, has been inactive for a while now.

Which club or group do you ride with?

I ride solo. I organise brevets for Gwalior Cycling Rangers, but since participation is sparse, I only organise 100 km rides.

Which local bike shop would you recommend?

Bicycle Studio is good. The owner Arush Agrawal takes interest in cycling and thus I go here for most of my cycling needs.

Is there a popular local event or gathering?

Nothing as of now. Which is unfortunate, but yes.

What would you suggest to someone new to cycling in your city?

I will probably invite them to a 100 km brevet to start with, and for any maintenance and parts refer them to Bicycle Studio.
